MP3 Module User Manual

1. Encoded Control Description

In addition to direct triggering for up to 9 MP3 tracks, this module supports on-demand playback selection for up to 31 MP3 tracks when integrated with a microcontroller (MCU).
Before powering on the module, connect pin A10 to Ground (GND) as indicated in the diagram. Upon power-up, the module will enter Encoding Control Mode.
Pins A1–A5 serve as encoding control ports operating in active-low inverted binary code, where A1 represents the least significant bit (LSB). The mapping for track selection is detailed in the table below:

No. A5 A4 A3 A2 A1 Action
111110Play Track 001
211101Play Track 002
311100Play Track 003

2. MCU Control Example

Based on the encoding table above, 0 represents Low Level (GND) and 1 represents High Level (VCC).
After outputting the corresponding code from the MCU I/O ports, hold the state for 200–500 ms (or longer), then restore to the default state (High Level) to trigger playback.

sbit A5 = P1^4;
sbit A4 = P1^3;
sbit A3 = P1^2;
sbit A2 = P1^1;
sbit A1 = P1^0;

// Main control logic (e.g., triggering Track 003)
A5=1; A4=1; A3=1; A2=0; A1=0;  // Send code: 11100
Delay_ms(200);                // Hold pulse for 200ms
A5=1; A4=1; A3=1; A2=1; A1=1;  // Restore default state: 11111

3. Technical Specifications

Power Supply: 5V DC / 1A
Trigger Inputs: 9 dedicated ports
Track Capacity: 9 tracks via direct triggers, 31 tracks via MCU encoding control
Speaker Output: 0–3W, 4–8Ω (Adjustable volume)
Max MicroSD Support: Up to 16GB

4. Precautions & Operating Notes

1. The operating voltage must not exceed 5.5V DC.
2. Supports speakers up to 3W (4–8Ω). When operating with a 3W speaker at high volume, monitor thermal performance and consider attaching a heatsink if necessary.

5. TF Card / MicroSD Directory Structure

To ensure proper file indexing on the TF card, follow this directory format:
1. Create a root folder named "01".
2. MP3 audio files inside the folder must be named starting with a 3-digit prefix (e.g., 001.mp3 through 999.mp3).
